College and University Orchestra Chairs 2000-2009

 2000-2009 - Students Win Chairs in Their College and University Orchestras
  • In the Class of 2001, one senior violinist won a chair in the orchestra at Southwestern University.
  • In the Class of 2003, one senior won a chair in the Hofstra University Symphony Orchestra where he served as Assistant Concertmaster for three years.  He now plays violin in the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra.
  • In the Class of 2004, one senior violinist won a chair in the music major orchestra at The University of Texas at Austin.

2000- 2009 Music Scholarships for College, Music Camps, and Private Schools
  • In May 2001, one of her high school seniors won a $6,000 violin scholarship to Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
  • In May 2003, one of her high school seniors received a four-year violin scholarship to Hofstra University where he served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Hofstra University Symphony Orchestra for three years. He now plays violin in the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra.
  • Five students received violin scholarships in 2001 for the Baylor University Summer String Camp.

 Prior to 2000 - Students Win Chairs in Their College and University Orchestras
  • In the Class of 1999, one senior violinist won a chair in the orchestra at Bowling Green State University and one senior violinist won a chair in the orchestra at William Jewel College.

Prior to 2000 - Music Scholarships for College, Music Camps, and Private Schools
  • In May 1996, one of Ms. Boesen’s North Harris College students received a full violin scholarship to Sam Houston State University.
  • In May 1998, one of her junior high students received a violin scholarship at the City of London Freeman’s School in London, England.  As a junior high student, this student also received the highest ranking possible in the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music)  prior to attending college.
  • In May 1999, one of her high school seniors won a $6,000 violin scholarship to Bowling Green State University and another senior won an $8,000 violin scholarship to William Jewel College.
